Writing is hard. Thinking is hard. As with everything deliberate practice is the only way to get better. Having a strategy helps. I came across an article where the author proposed just writing. Don't edit when you're writing just get your ideas out. The author also recommended you write every sentence on a single line. That way you can move lines up and down easily. And you can see when sentences get too long. I like that strategy so I've been using it in these journal entries; it works nicely if you compose in markdown like I do.
